MIFB 2025 Returns with Future-Ready Focus on the Evolution of Trends in F&B

Malaysia’s Premier F&B Trade Show Gears Up to Tackle Industry Transformation with Bold New Programmes and Global Thought Leaders

With the theme Future-Ready F&B: Serving the Evolution of Trends, the Malaysian International Food and Beverage Trade Fair (MIFB) is set to return from 30 July to 1 August 2025 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The event will bring together 12,000 trade visitors, 500+ participating companies, and 50+ countries and regions, making it ASEAN’s premier gathering for F&B professionals.

Spotlighting cutting-edge innovations transforming how food is produced, packaged, and consumed, MIFB 2025 is a must-attend for trade professionals, entrepreneurs, and lifestyle brands. The event will be officiated by YB Datuk Chang Foong Hin, Deputy Minister of Plantation and Commodities, and features programmes like the MIFB Knowledge Hub, MyFoodTech showcase, Wine, Spirits & Beer Showcase, Malaysian Café Expo and Halal Certification Workshop, designed to spark industry dialogue and empower F&B players for future growth.

At the heart of MIFB 2025 lies a bold vision for the future of food, framed through three key pillars: Smart, Sustainable, and Scalable, echoed through its dynamic Knowledge Hub. These themes underscore the Hub’s, and the overall event’s commitment to driving industry progress through technology, responsibility, and resilience. To deepen industry insight and spark meaningful dialogue, the MIFB Knowledge Hub will once again take centre stage. This series of high-impact sessions brings together global thought leaders, researchers, and seasoned professionals to discuss the forces shaping tomorrow’s food landscape. Topics include the integration of artificial intelligence in food production, and the innovations in cold chain logistics to support food security. Free for registered attendees on a first-come-first-served basis, these sessions are designed to bridge the gap between aspiration and implementation, offering both strategic and tactical value.

The sustainability focus is equally robust. In response to growing consumer expectations for ethical, low-impact consumption, the Knowledge Hub will be highlighting solutions that support environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and circular design. From zero-waste packaging, cold-chain shipping systems, and plant-based alternatives to supply chain transparency and responsible sourcing, the event will champion F&B models that nourish both people and the planet.

Meanwhile, the scalability of these innovations will be a focal point for both local enterprises and regional players seeking growth. The event will present practical, adaptable technologies and business models that enable small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to expand without compromising quality, integrity, or sustainability. MIFB’s emphasis on accessibility and market-readiness reflects the broader need for F&B businesses to remain agile amid shifting economic and environmental conditions.

Beyond the business conversations, MIFB 2025 also celebrates the culture, creativity, and craftsmanship that underpin the F&B world. The MyFoodTech zone will spotlight breakthrough technologies spanning processing, logistics, and packaging. Simultaneously, the Halal Certification Workshop & Clinic will provide a practical pathway for local and international F&B entities to better understand and navigate Malaysia’s halal certification process—an essential component for market access in both domestic and international contexts.

Adding a culinary flair to the programme, MIFB 2025 will also feature live culinary demonstrations, Gastronomic Sensory Hub, by some of Malaysia’s most celebrated chefs, including Chef Ikhwan and the award-winning MalaysiaPCA National Culinary Team. Showcasing talent from top institutions and hotels, these chefs will bring international flair, technical mastery, and creative excellence to the event stage.

Coffee lovers can look forward to the return of the Malaysian National Coffee Championship (MNCC), hosted live during MIFB 2025 in partnership with the Malaysia Specialty Coffee Association (MSCA). Now in its tenth inning, the championship will unite top baristas, brewers, and coffee connoisseurs in a celebration of Malaysia’s vibrant café culture.

Another standout activation at this year’s event is the launch of the Wine, Spirits & Beer Showcase, in partnership with Crafted, designed to cater to wine professionals and enthusiasts seeking a deeper understanding of viticulture, tasting techniques, and regional varieties. This immersive experience adds a refined touch to the show’s already diverse offering.

Whether you are an established industry player or an emerging entrepreneur, MIFB 2025 offers a powerful platform to connect, learn, and grow. As the food and beverage industry navigates a period of profound transformation, MIFB stands as a beacon for collaboration, innovation, and sustainable progress. With its forward-looking agenda and international appeal, MIFB 2025 is a must-attend event for those who want to lead the future of food.
