Malaysia Border Reopens

Malaysia Declares Borders Open to International Travellers From 1st April

The Malaysian government has announced on 8th March that its borders will be reopened to international travellers starting from 1st April 2022.

All incoming travellers who are fully vaccinated are no longer required to be quarantined upon arrival and will only need to undergo a RT-PCR test two days before departure and a rapid test (RTK) upon arrival.

With the borders reopening and reduced restrictions, this year’s MIFB will be held as a physical exhibition at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, spanning across 3 days and 12,000 square metres of exhibition space.

Food industry players that are keen to exhibit are encouraged to write in to obtain the latest information about the entry requirements.

Pre-registration is also now open for trade visitors to obtain their entry passes, which will grant access to the exhibition.
